Adult Family Living (AFL) Caregiver — Connecticut

About the Opportunity

Epic Nursing Services is expanding its Adult Family Living (AFL) program in Connecticut and is seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers interested in supporting eligible adults in a safe, supportive home environment.

We welcome applications from individuals who are already caring for a family member or another eligible adult, as well as individuals interested in becoming an AFL caregiver.

What Does an AFL Caregiver Do?

An AFL caregiver provides assistance and supervision based on an individual's assessed needs and approved care plan. Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other activities of daily living.

• Supporting mobility, transfers, and personal safety.

• Assisting with meals and routine household activities.

• Providing companionship, supervision, and emotional support.

• Observing and reporting changes in the individual's health or functioning.

• Participating in required training, assessments, and ongoing program monitoring.

• Maintaining required caregiver documentation.

Who Should Apply?

We encourage applications from:

• Individuals currently providing care to a family member or another adult who may qualify for Connecticut's AFL program.

• Prospective caregivers interested in supporting an eligible adult through an approved AFL arrangement.

• Experienced caregivers seeking information about AFL opportunities.

General Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be willing to complete applicable eligibility and background screening requirements.

• Demonstrate the ability to provide safe, reliable, person-centered care.

• Participate in required caregiver assessments, orientation, and training.

• Cooperate with ongoing program oversight and documentation requirements.

• Meet all applicable Connecticut AFL program requirements before being approved to provide services.

Additional eligibility requirements may apply depending on the individual's program, living arrangement, and relationship to the caregiver.

Compensation

Caregiver compensation depends on the approved AFL arrangement, applicable program requirements, and individual circumstances. Details will be discussed during screening.
